Overview:


Provide individual, family, group and milieu therapy in a School Setting. Perform assessments and case management duties. Represent Agency to referral sources, and function as a member of program administration.


DUTIES INCLUDE:



  • Provide individual and family therapy and case management to assigned case load.

  • Develop and present Individualized Treatment Plans.

  • Maintain clinical notes and records that are consistent with RFK, DESE and DEEC standards.

  • Facilitate Quarterly Team Meetings.

  • Follow all RFK Lancaster Clinical and Program policies and procedures.

  • Provide leadership regarding program philosophy and policy in all forums including: individual programs; the school, during campus training and clinical meetings.

  • Actively participate in the residential milieu and school programming.

  • Attend Workshops/Training related to professional growth to enhance clinical expertise.

  • Provide clinical training/in-service to Program Milieu Staff.

  • Attend all required meetings: Staff Meetings, Clinical Meetings, Program Administration, Psychiatric Reviews, Foster Care Reviews, DCF meetings, and CORE/School meetings.

  • Responsible for safety and security of all students on the Lancaster School.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience in residential or in-patient settings preferred

  • A master’s degree with clinical licensure eligibility

  • Solid clinical skills, excellent writing skills and a proven interest in learning therapeutic and case management skills within a residential school/program are essential


Program Overview:


The Robert F. Kennedy School at Lancaster is a Chapter 766 approved special education school for the children in residence on the campus, along with special education services to many day students from surrounding communities. The RFK Lancaster School’s mission is dedicated to the growth and learning of students by providing a safe, therapeutic environment that enhances the quality of life of each individual. Educators encourage students to replace negative behaviors with positive actions; personal and social growth is fostered where excellence in individual achievement is valued and respected.


Academic instruction takes place within a self-contained classroom or within a classroom which transitions for each academic content area. Each classroom has a Teacher and a Teacher's Assistant. The school also offers special academic instruction in the areas of Physical Education, Health, Career Education, Art and Social Skills. Special services in the areas of Title I Reading & Math, Adaptive Physical Education, and Speech & Language are available for those students requiring these services
