Seeking a committed, highly motivated, creative individual to serve as an advocate to court-involved youth. The major goal of this position is to reduce the disproportionate minority contact within the juvenile justice system in Dorchester.
Youth Advocates work in partnership with the Department of Youth Services, defense attorneys, probation officers, schools, youth-serving organizations, churches, and community-based organizations. The individual will work diligently to build healthy relationships with youth and connect them to resources in an effort to divert them from detention.
